Waiting on our Road to Rome

In the 2 plus years of waiting Paul appealed to Caesar, shared his story and had 3 Roman leaders reject Jesus but Paul was still compelled to tell. Paul's destination was to go to Rome but he was still waiting in Caesarea which could have been very annoying but God has a plan in the waiting.
What are we doing in the waiting? Are we giving others an opportunity to know Jesus? Are we using this time to mature in our faith? Even if we are not at our destination, our Rome, quite yet, God still has a purpose for us.
